Statement of Faith

ONE TRUE GOD: God has revealed himself as the eternally self-existent "I AM", the Creator of all things and redeemer of mankind who is infinitely perfect and simultaneously exists as Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Isa. 43:10-11; Mark 12:29; Matt 28:19).

THE INSPIRED SCRIPTURES: The Bible, Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God, the revelation of God to man, and the infallible rule and final authority of for all Christian faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason

(2 Tim 3:15-1).

THE DEITY OF JESUS CHRIST:  The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God and shares the Deity of God. He is also truly man, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, died on the cross as the sacrifice for sin, arose from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and is now at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate (Matt 1:23).

ORIGINAL SIN AND THE FALL OF MAN: Man was created in the image of God but disobeyed and fell from the grace of God. From this fall sin entered the world and brought death by sin, causing not only physical death but spiritual death (Gen. 1-3).

SALVATION BY FAITH: Man sins because he has a sinful nature.  Only through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection can man find salvation from the power of sin.  This salvation and spiritual life, a free gift of grace from God, can only be obtained by exercising faith in the person and finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ (Eph. 2:8,9). The inward evidence to the believer of his/her salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit (Ro.  8:16).  The outward evidence to all men is a life of holiness (1 Thess.  4:7, 2 Tim.1:9).

THE NEW MAN IN CHRIST:  If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature (creation) in the inward man.  We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus.  We are partakers of His divine nature (2 Cor.  5:17; Eph. 2:10; 2 Pet. 1:4)

BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT:  The baptism in the Holy Spirit is to glorify Jesus Christ and to indwell, guide and empower believers for life and service.  This baptism brings the gifts or enablement's of the Holy Spirit and their uses to the forefront of the ministry of the Body of Christ.  This experience of the New birth and is evidenced by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues s the Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts: 1-4).

SANCTIFICATION PROCESS: By the power of the Holy Spirit we strive to obey the command, “Be ye holy, for I am holy.” Sanctification is the will of God for all believers, and should be earnestly pursued by walking in obedience to God’s Word (Heb.  12:14; 1 Pet.  1:15, 16; 1 Thess.  5:23, 24; 1 John 2:6).

DIVINE HEALING:  The Redemption provided by Jesus Christ includes more than forgiveness of sins.  Healing is also an integral part of the Gospel (Matt. 8:16-17; James 5:14-16).

THE CHURCH - THE BODY OF CHRIST:  Christ's church, made up of born-again believers, is God's habitation through the Holy Spirit.  When believers are born to the Spirit they are united together as the Body of Christ and appointed to fulfill the great commission.  Jesus Christ is both Lord and head of His Church (Eph. 1:22-23). The church is the holy Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission.  Each believer is an integral part of the church, and their names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.  (I Thess.  2:4).

THE SACRAMENTS OF THE CHURCH:
          A.  Baptism in water:  All who believe in Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior are commanded to be immersed in water, as a declaration they have identified with the death of Christ and have been raised with Him in newness of life (Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47-48).
           B.  The Lord's Supper:  Communion is a symbolic expression of our sharing the divine nature of the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:4), as well as memorial of His suffering and death.  It is also a prophecy of His second coming (1 Cor. 11:23-31).

MINISTRY: Divinely called and Scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for a two-fold purpose:  (1) The evangelization of the world, and (2) The edification of the Body of Christ (Mark 16:15, 20; Eph. 4:11-13).

MARRIAGE:  God created marriage. It is a covenant made between a man and a woman that makes them one (Gen 2: 22, 24; Matt 19: 5-6).

THE MILLENNIAL REIGN OF JESUS: The revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven, the salvation of national Israel, and the millennial reign of Christ on the earth are Scriptural promises and our hope (2 Thess.  1:7; Rev.  19:1l-16; Ro.  11:25; Rev.  20:l-7).

RESURRECTION OF THE SAINTS:  One day coming, the entire Body of Christ will be caught up together to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord (1 Thess. 4:13-18).  The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation, together with those who are alive and remain unto the Lord, is imminent and is the blessed hope of the church (1 Thess.  4:16; Ro.  6:23; Titus 2:13; 1 Cor.  15:51,52).

THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST:  The Second Coming of Christ is the actual, visible return of Christ to establish His Kingdom (Matt. 24:27-30).  It will include the catching away of the church (1 Thess. 4:16-17), followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints (the church) to reign with Him on earth for one thousand years (Zech. 14:5; Rev. 1:7; 19:11-15; 20:1-6).  The millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel and the establishment of universal peace.

THE FINAL JUDGMENT:  There will be a day when the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works.  Whosoever is not found written in the Lamb's Book of Life will sentenced to everlasting punishment in the Lake of Fire (Rev. 20:11-15).

THE LAKE OF FIRE: The devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, and whosoever is not found written in the Lamb’s Book of Life shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns fire and brimstone, which is the second death (Rev.  19:20; 20:10-15).

THE NEW HEAVENS AND EARTH: We, as promised in the Scriptures, look for a new heavens and a new earth wherein righteousness dwells (2 Pet.  3:13; Rev.  21:  l).
